Check it out! This past week, the Indiana Department of Education announced graduation rates for 2022. While we strive for a 100% graduation rate each and every year, we are still elated to announce that our 2022 graduation rate was the highest in Henry County and well above state average. In fact, our 98.18% graduation rate places us 18th in Indiana out of 349 reported school corporations. Congratulations to the entire South Henry family for a job well done! More information from the Indiana Department of Education about graduation rate can be found here: https://www.in.gov/doe/about/news/indiana-department-of-education-announces-2022-graduation-rate/ Great things are happening at South Henry!

It is great to see everyone back at school this morning! I wanted to remind everyone of our eLearning plan in the event of inclement weather. We will follow the google meets bell schedule listed in the document below if school is cancelled due to inclement weather (not during a scheduled eLearning day for staff PD). Please email or call with any questions. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HuL4WRNhBXzdOcxcC_bEsYXfeeTscz1ql3QaJISjODE/edit?usp=sharing

Work has picked up again this week on our baseball diamond remodel. The aging fence around the diamond is being replaced with a new, black vinyl coated fence. This, and a new outfield windscreen, were made possible through a generous donation from our friends at Henry Community Health. Great things are happening at South Henry!

We have been made aware that some students are in possession of Chromebook chargers that can potentially become frayed and pose a fire or shock hazard to students and others. Out of an abundance of caution, these chargers should no longer be used and should be turned in for replacement tomorrow. Please click the following link to learn more about which chargers should be replaced: https://www.shenry.k12.in.us/article/944680 Thank you!

We will just leave this right here... Congratulations to our 9-0 Lady Titans for being tied for the number 1 ranking in the state of Indiana! While rankings don't mean everything, they do mean something. They mean that people notice the fruits of your labor. They mean that your hard work is paying dividends. And, let's be honest, they mean that you are a pretty good basketball team. We are proud of our girls and their coaches for their push for excellence. Stay hungry! Titan Families, As we enter into cold and flu season, this is a friendly reminder that after illness, students should be fever-free and have no signs of a fever (chills, feeling very warm, flushed appearance, or sweating) without the use of fever-reducing medicine for at least 24 hours before returning to school. This is in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to reduce illness. Students should also follow these same guidelines for vomiting and episodes of diarrhea. We appreciate your help as we work to keep our students happy and healthy this winter season. Go Titans!
